My youngest brother was tragically lost as the result of a needless construction accident, my entire family and all close to him were devastated. .
Initially you are in shock and overcome with grief, and then the realization arrives that this should never have happened. My Family was determined that his sacrifice was not in vain and that ultimately, no one else should have to go through such a horrific experience for needless reasons or negligence.
It was obvious we would need exceptional legal counsel as we would be dealing with large and powerful companies and insurance entities, with large revenues’ to support their defense. So I began an intensive search for the absolute best attorney and law firm to represent my family in my brothers’ memory.

There is a difference! When I sat down with Marc Breakstone he gave me an overview of his firm and rather than present me with a bunch of contracts to sign, Marc presented me with a briefing on the case. I recently used Marc in a case that no other attorneys wanted to take on. Marc worked diligently to resolve the case fast. Marc represented our family in a suit against the surgeon who performed a basic surgery on our very healthy mother in March 2005. She developed a systemic infection that was left untreated for seven days. She died from complications of this infection six weeks later. I recall bringing my wife’s medical records to Marc because I was concerned that my wife’s gynecologist may have missed the opportunity to treat her ovarian cancer at a time that it was treatable. Marc explained his careful approach to reviewing the case and to obtaining highly qualified experts to provide their opinions as to whether or not the physician had committed malpractice. I was impressed that Marc retained one of the top ovarian cancer specialists in the country to review the case. That expert supported Marc’s belief that my wife’s doctor had committed malpractice.



After that, Marc explained in detail the litigation process. He told us, candidly, that the doctor’s insurance company was not going to even consider settling the case, so that we needed to file a lawsuit. My wife and I agreed. Before filing the lawsuit, Marc laid out the steps in the litigation and we knew exactly what our roles and responsibilities would be.
