Description:17 F.3d 11 (1st Circuit C.A. - 1994) - appeal tested the applicability of a one year limitation provision in a passenger cruise ticket to an injury suffered by a passenger (Appellant) while ashore, on hotel property owned by the same entity which owned and operated the cruise vessel. Lower Federal District Court held case was barred by the one year limitation on the back of the ticket. First Circuit held that the ticket limitation applied only to passengers on the ship and not to shore excursions.
