Thats what I thought from beginning but he just called and out of blue said Im going to pllead guilty tomorrow and I thought that was not good being that DV is a deportable defense I thought he should ask his PD if purhaps there was a lessor charge he could plea too that was not grounds for removal but he just plead because the PD said its not always deportable which is not true I researched and even if you pleade no contest, guilty you can be deported

Courts are closed tomorrow, but he should not take this plea without fully understanding the remifications. Most judges will allow a continuance to consult with an immigration attorney

he did the plea he has been in Jail for 10 days since that as his sentence I just called jail to see if he was there because they keep transferring him around he is back in Pahrump y our home they said he is scheduled for release Jan 3 didnt mention ICE im just hoping he doesnt get deported and also hopefull an immigration attorney calls me Monday for some advise so we can know what to do if anything happens

I'm having a hard time understanding you. You said he was going to plead tomorrow, then you say he did 10 days ago. Unless you have contacted an attorney, I doubt one will call you as a result of this posting. Most offices will be closed Monday, and Nevada rules of professional conduct prohibit an attorney from soliciting a client. You will need to initiate the contact. Good luck

no he plead guilty on Dec 22nd the judge sentenced him to 20 days with time served hich meant he would be out Jan 1st when I called midnight Januaryy 1st to see when he would be released they told me he was on an ICE hold for 72 hours. He was transferred back to Pahrump from Tonopah Jail I called them and they said he is scheduled to be released on the 3rd Im guessing there awaiting ICE to get back and praying he is released on the 3rd
