Thank you all for your answers so far. I actually just pulled up the paperwork that I received in court, and the original citation is for the charge of VC 23224 (a)- minor allowing alcohol in vehicle; this is exactly what the cop wrote on my initial citation. At the top he marked it as a non-traffic misdemeanor. When I went to court the first time, they simply gave me a paper that says "County Behavior Institute (CBI) Referral", with the instructions to take the class and write a 500 word paper. The only fine involved was to pay for the program itself. Once I finished this, I returned to court with the signed paperwork from the class instructor, saying that I finished the class and the paper was written. Upon this appearance, I was given a final piece of paper that says "VACATE" written across the top, and then a million little boxes that could be checked; among these, the checked boxes are: W/O counsel, a box that says "mi" and they wrote CBI Certificate next to it, a box that says this proof was filed in court, and finally, a box that says "case dismissed", followed by "D.A", and "int. of justice." Also, up at the top is written "8.49.50". I don't know if this clears things up at all, but if you have any further insight upon reading these details please let me know anything else!

Oh and also, I do not have ANYTHING else on my record aside from parking meters running out and parking violations.
