Not in Wake County, NC. A child's wishes are not considered, the courts fabricate reasons, and not good ones, to bring in CPS, and then it's a fight between the parent and the courts and CPS. I know, we're going through it still even though, after thirteen years my son's been returned to me from the custody of his drug addicted, abusive, alcoholic that he should never have been placed with and was done so under the most criminally, illegal, and corrupt means.
