This is a great example of attorneys not understand mental illness. Did this husband get treatment for his wife. It's only takes a phone call. Many of these people are untreated and it's amazing how little knowledge attorneys have in regards to good solutions.

This is a good example of how the public does not understand the role of lawyers. Lawyers are practitioners of the law, not social workers. We assume the public is aware of mental health solutions. They come to us for legal answers.

I see this all the time. The spouse knows the other spouse is sick and fail to seek treatment.

So sue for family nonsupport. Then insist you not be discriminated while you rebuild your Relationship with your children as you have been harmed by your spouse. The spouse has responsibly to seek treatment for a mentally ill spouse. If they did not do that you can win custody. I know I did.

Of course though if you have a spouse that does not want to follow treatment that is a choice. You have to choose to get well.

Why do people with bipolar withdraw from relationships? That is part of the illness and if this is happening her treatment is failing. This is not hard to resolve. I doubt if she does not love her kids.
