I filed a capacity declaration by my mom's doctor saying that she is unable to attend the hearing because of a medical inability - Alzheimer's. Would that make a difference? If my mom was present, she wouldn't even understand what's going on.

That would excuse her presence at the hearing but the investigation has not been completed.

Thanks for your response. I'm trying to get my mom back to CA, but my sisters are not letting me talk to her, and it's unlikely they will be at the hearing. At the hearing, maybe I will ask for a continuance, and for the judge to amend her temporary orders to put in there something saying I can go and get my mom and bring her back to CA - her residence.
