So it is legal for my co-worker to slander my professionalism and capabilities around other co-workers and behind my back? And then my manager can legally make unfounded false performance claims that are totally contradictory to the actual facts that I have proof of? And then they can "legally" get away with wrongful termination? Wow...if that is the case why do we have a judicial system with supposed laws to protect the employee from wrongful termination. Not only was I harrassed by a co-worker but now my manager and HR are harrassing me by making false performance accusations to get me fired...unbelievable!

We have a legal system to enforce the laws. We have laws to specify what is and what is not unacceptable conduct. These are both critical, where the law may not prohibit everything that one might wish.
