Yup. And it's worse when it comes to "Referees" in custody/visitation cases. There is no recourse as to them. In terms of the violation petition, make sure that the arrears have been properly set/confirmed before you withdraw it. I hope you have an SCU account, if not I urge you to use it. If you are alraedy going through SCU, it's very important that they have the correct arrears so that if it happens again they can do things like take his drivers license. Also, it's tax season, so they will snag any tax refund. Best of luck.

I have been told that since he's been making monthly payments, the court will not find him in violation because he is now become compliant. I am considering closing the violation petition - just to avoid further months of this case continuing to going no where. There seems to be no real governing body over the magistrates to investigate bias or misconduct, as the Judicial Commission does with Judges. I tried writing complaints to them, as well as the Administrative Judges that are supposedly over them. Falls on deaf ears. It's almost like they are above the laws they seem to not want to follow - making it appear like there's no justice in this so called justice system!
