This has been his only missed appearance and he has been following through with everything. Also, in the case that a higher bond would be set, is it possible for someone else to pay it, or would it have to be him?

The warrant was voided when he was picked up. The issue is whether, and on what conditions, will the Court release him. The Court will set a bond and the bond can be posted by anyone. Most people hire a bail bondsman to post bond\.
