The project is at substantial completion but has not filed notice of completion yet, and yes, we did file a preliminary notice at the beginning of the project. Do I send the stop notice to the bonding Co as well?

No, the bond claim is a separate process.

Serve the public entity/school and the general contractor by certified or registered mail.

Better file it sooner than too late!!!


You have to file suit on the stop notice or it expires and becomes useless.

Thank you for the info... when looking at the timeline you provided the link to it appears that this was updated March of 2011... is that correct? Or has this been updated to match the new law dated July 2012?
