The issues are: water bill increase reported one month before we moved out (clause in lease is that we are responsible for increase over 20%, but were never reported for a year), and she charged us for rust and has a letter from us in which we mention that we are not responsible for rust. If we cash the check, it could go against what we actually know and wrote to her -that we are not responsible for rust. She charged us for everything with rust, even in the bathroom at all metal covers (for plumbing) under the sink and behind the toilet.
