To the asker, if you "knew" this was a problem car hopefully you paid a LOT less for it than Kelly Blue Book retail value. One reason people shop at dealerships is because they believe that dealers inspect their vehicles and will not sell them prior wrecks. That trust is all too often misplaced. Don't let someone tell you that you are at fault for trusting a dealer. That is WHY dealers are licensed and WHY we shop at dealers, so we do not get duped. Lastly, in the future make sure to take ANY potential vehicle for an independent inspection PRIOR to buying it, whether from a private party or a dealer.
