Try to keep it in the family. Maybe get a lawyer if what the attorney recommended doesn't fly. The sister might go to court to kept the POA saying that you influenced your mother....keep good records. Medicare Medicaid has a 60 mth look back if your mother has to go to a Nursing Home and you sister will have a lien put on your house....you as the Care Giver may have rights to the house....
