For some reason this answer came to me but was not my ? however similar. I've talked with you but heres my scenario to date in case Mabry Mgmt LaLa actually does anything LEGAL...Have 1 yr lease up Sept 2012 and due to a unresolved dispute w/prop mgr recvd 30 day eviction notice on door only 4/18-5/18 never mailed, then when rent due I notified her (which she told me to do when I signed lease and wouldn't be charged as late BTW) I would be paying the 4th instead of 1st knowing her notice was illegal and in retaliation, and on the 4th received a 3 day or quit notice on door for the rent due thru 5/17 so I corrected the amount to the 18th per 30 day notice and paid it. Week later received late fee letter from main office for 53.75 which would be the 5% due per lease but for the total rent not what she told me to pay? but sent check for it to main office anyway knowing I wasn't moving and would have to pay rest of rent. On 21st the loopy prop mgr gives me another 3 day pay or evict notice for remainder due and again I had to recalculate correctly, which was noted on her notice copy I sent in with rest of rent. So at this point I consider this to be harassment and when she handed my son who is also on the lease that 2nd notice she gave another ILLEGAL threat that this is our verbal 30 day notice to take the bug net down and rid of his cat she allowed us to move in with even tho is a no pet complex and I have since tt her boss and found out she also told him we had a cat she didnt know about TOTAL LIE b/c I sent him cert letter about her 30 day notice and requested an explanation b/c the net we have in fromt of door IS NOT a lease violation which is what started this believe it or not! Even tho she told me he was the one who told her to give it to us he was not aware of it per his written response to my letter and I do have copies of all corresp to date. I left him a message when I received his letter expressing my confusion b/c of what she told me and a few days later he called me back and thats how I found out she apparently is now lying to him about cat (my son has had this cat for 8 years so we have NO intentions of getting rid of it and also have MANY witnesses that he's been here since moved in and friends and relatives KNOW she let us) to justify her self eviction efforts but seems to think none of his managers would do this ie believes the liaand also told me I cant have the "removable net" b/c everything has to be uniform even tho other tenants have things nailed to their doors so I said I have to take it down and he said.."well it's to late now" so I didnt and called you..Oh and my son did tell the prop mgr that we got a lawyer b/c we all know she's lying about the cat when she "verbally" served her 30 day notice 5/211 to which she responded as she walked off "Im not lying"!..Im not from CA been here 4 years from TX but have NEVER experienced this ridiculous unprofessional tantrum throwing in either state and son told me a previous tenant had tol him this is her MO to harass a tenant she wants to move until they do??? Oh I also served her and faxed to her boss a 5th request for something to be done with our water b/c since Oct/Nov of last year you can only get 10 min of hot water to shower and/or wash dishes by hand and was told it was b/c of cold pipes which I knew was a crock so have been waiting for warmer weather to prove her wrong and 5/25 she called to tell me a tech was coming out and also that I had to take net down and when I told her her boss said I didn't she acted surprised and said he had told her to tell me and after further misc babble said I could keep it up but would have to be installed on interior of door not exterior which I agreed to move but she oddly enuf didnt say anything about our cat and we also have NEVER recieved any notices/complaints for it EXCEPT from her b/c she apparently thot we would keep the cat hidden away for some reason which not only was never requested by her when she was told about his cat prior to lease signing NOR would I have moved in here had she said that. Oh to clarify...In ref to complaints by her on cat, they were verbal only never any written notices and were her wanting us to keep cat out of sight that tenants had seen in window and were going to call office which never has happened b/c no violation letters or notices received. I've noticed in living here that she will fabricate, or exaggerate stories to cover or justify her actions and other tenants have confirmed same so don't believe her.
