Andrew, thanks for the reply. Here is my next question. If she receives the maximum policy limits from my insurance company and then turns around and then sues her own insurance company for her underinsured motorist protection is there a limit usually that she can receive from this? She can only receive the amount of policy that was originally tied to her insurance correct? Therefore, for example, if she has 25,000 UIM protection and she receives the 100,000 max policy from me but her case is worth say 150,000 can she sue her insurance for more than that 25000 coverage that she had, and then can they subsequently come after me for this amount over? Or, will her insurance company fight her and claim that my maximum policy limits covered her damages adequately enough and not give her the UIM. Again thanks for the reply, I'm really just pretty upset I'm in this situation, I thought I had adequate insurance but apparently I need to start carrying at least 300,000. I'm sitting over here in the Middle East worried that I am going to come home to nothing because I will have to pay a woman well over her medical bills and lost wages to compensate her the rest of her life and live a life of poverty for myself and my family. I'm probably overreacting but I work hard for what I have and to have a car accident take my income and all my assets away is extremely depressing.
