thanks for your response. yes, both the situation and therefore the question is compllicated/confusing. mom is still bitter about losing custody and child support by her own doing (i.e. kidnapping) so just wanting to make sure i can get on with my life when my daughter turns 18 without a spite-driven child support filing arriving in my mail at my new address out of state. thanks again.

She can file. It is a question of if she will succeed. Unless there are some facts I am missing, I do not see child support being ordered for a healthy adult.
