The best strategy is to consider a comprehensive legal protection plan through contracts, due diligence best practices, and insurance. This is all of course dictated by the nature of your services, your suppliers, your clients, and other case specific factors beyond the scope of this forum.

My website sells advertising to dentists. They have banner ads on my site that link back to their homepage. The concern I have is if the site was ever hacked or a freelancer goes rogue and changes the content on the site or changes the linking of the banner ads to something inappropriate or adult material. I am looking to have many of these advertising sites because they target a local area for example a site will be a blog for dentists in los angeles. Here is what I have already done looked into SSL encryption + a daily malware scanner, enhance security for the wordpress site, adding a part in my terms of use for risk factors about hacking and freelancer and purchased a $1M cyber liability policy and general liability policy. The concern is this enough? $1M seems very low considering I would have 5 advertisers on the site and they could claim I have ruined thee business as a result of an act of a hacker or freelancer.
