My book came in yesterday (NOLO). Unfortunately I cannot find the answer to my question (of course!). When I filed the Petition for Probate the only box I checked was "Letters of Administration". I think I should have chosen "Auth to administer Under the IAE" so that I could get something immediately to send to the mortgage company to allow me to sell the house (they said they need a court document or they will foreclose in Nov). My hearing isnt until Dec so I need a special letter now. Can I draft up a declaration asking for one? PS: Thank you for your time .

Thank you for taking the time to respond. There is absolutely no money for an attorney. I did take the advice given and found a good deal on EBay on a book on filing probate!
