Whether it is considered a "violent crime" is determined by whoever looks at the criminal record. It is a felony - that alone would keep you from being able to possess a firearm or get a security clearance. Whether or not pleading guilty under the First Offender Act is the best option for you is not something I can say, as I don't know all the details of your case, as your attorney does.

So is it classified as violent crime, eve though it is a violation of TPO? I am pleading guilty and have a first offender recommended by court appointed lawyer. I believe that is the best I could get.
