So do you think I can be dividend our marital property (House, Cars, Bank & Brokerage Accounts, Retirement, Pension, Debts) at least 50/50? Our housing payments will finish next April, and I can finish my Auto loan payments any time. So we will have little debts when we file a divorce.
For example, only my husband’s name is on our house, since he paid for purchase and maintenance of it. Even so, can I seek him to divide 50/50, too?
Since my husband paid my partial college tuitions, and has supported me totally throughout the marriage, he insists that he doesn’t need to pay maintenance if he divides me 1/2 of marital property. I am late 40’s while my husband is early 50’s. My husband annual income is more than $75,000. He is earning more than 10 times than I and also he saved money 10 times than I.
Mr. Leroi, can I get paid maintenance for 4 years after divorce at least!? If so, how many % of his monthly income, can I seek him as monthly maintenance?
Mr. Leroi, we really want to avoid going trail! We want to agree about marital property, maintenance and so on as possible as we can! So I try to know my legal rights before we hire a certain mediator or lawyer... If he hires his own lawyer, I have no choice but to hire my own lawyer... Actually he has enough ability to pay for my lawyer as well as my maintenance, since he is a retired military man. Well, I find out you do a mediation, too. It would be nice if we can hire only one lawyer (=mediator) to file a divorce...
