As others have suggested, if your family does not pursue this and asks that it be dropped, that will have an impact on the DA's evaluation of whether to proceed.

is it possible that my stepfather can call the captian and ask him to drop everything? or can they arrest me if i dnt go to the police station? i think my stepfather is the one pushing for the police to question me? is there anyway my stepfather can put an end to all this?
