Your stepfather can tell them he doesn't want to proceed but that is not binding on the police.
I would not say anything to anyone. If they arrest, you will get a lawyer and say nothing until you meet that lawyer.
They can arrest if they choose to. Period.

is it possible that my stepfather can call the captian and ask him to drop everything? or can they arrest me if i dnt go to the police station? i think my stepfather is the one pushing for the police to question me? is there anyway my stepfather can put an end to all this?
