As it happened during work hours and at your work premises, you would be limited to a worker's compensation claim under your employer's workers compensation insurance policy - which all employers a legally obligated to have. Ask your employer for the name, address and policy number for the W.C. insurance. If your employer refuses to provide you with the information, or if the employer does not, in fact, have W.C. insurance, then you have a choice, You can either bring an private action against your employer or you can go to the NYS Workers Compensation Bureau and file a W.C. claim against a special general fund to cover claims where the employer did not have the requisite insurance. Note that you can not do both; you will have to pick and choose. Either way, it is illegal for your employer to fire you or otherwise "retaliate", which would give rise to a separate cause of action in your behalf if he does so. You may want to consult an attorney specializing in Worker's Compensation.
Respectfully,
