The estate lawyer sent a paper along with the final accounting that is asking me to sign to release him of any liability and that it says to avoid the cost of an having a formal court accounting. I asked him during the beginning of the estate what he would be charging and he said between $7000 and $10,000. He said that he was not going to be taking an executor fee since he is taking the attorney fee.

There is also another law firm that he most likely hired to do the accounting of $3711 that I forgot to mention.

Know do u think its excessive.
