So my boyfriend shouldnt HAVE to go to this Probation appointment until he goes in fromt of the jUDGE to answer to the DA's accusations, right?

BTW....we live in NY but I still believe that my boyfriend has the right to go in front of the judge before he has to do anything the DA wants him to do. And the ltr for probation said it was for the Harrassment 2nd charge and an IID violation.
