I agree with Mr. Kaman - since the matter has been dismissed already based on her sucessful completion of diversion, there is nothing more that can be done. Her record is what it is and she has to live with that.

she was told she didnt have to report it to employers so she never has. I guess what she is wanting to know is is she a convicted felon? Or after the diversion was completed was the conviction dismissed?

Yes the case was dismissed (hense why it says "dismissed").

So it may be the felony conviction was dismissed and she does not have a felony? Just the charge remains on her record. And the Landlord is seeing that?

That's correct.

Sorry to keep bringing it up Chris. She doesn't have internet and we are talking over the phone back and forth. Thanks for your help. How would she get the final standing on her case? She said she tried calling the court house but because it was so long ago they don't have the records there any longer. Where would they be? And how can she get them?

It's what she's looking at. Says dismissed - it was dismissed. That's probably the best she's going to get because it's so old.

She can try to get a certified copy of her record from DOJ but if the court is saying they don't have anything, then that's about all she can do.

I stand corrected, she is telling she thinks it reads; "guilty plea/diversion/dismissed."
She has several people who would be willing to provide letters of positive life change over the past 20 years. Even several Judges and Attorney's
She tried to find the attorney she used but can't remember his name.
