Your sister can file a complaint at the school or via the police but I STRONGLY advise that she do nothing of the sort until she has consulted a lawyer for her daughter.

she has a public defender for herself and her daughter, we also have an advocate for my niece. This just happened today to so I was very frustrated early when asking what to do... I will talk to the lawyers and ask... I just was frustrated that the police station wouldn't even take a complaint from my sister for the false information on the police report!

Jessica, Thank you! I am at loss for the words to describe how sad this situation is. Doesn't my sister have a right to file a complaint about the teacher providing a false statement to the police of such importance as stating that my niece was not in her mother's custody, that she was in DCF custody? Had the teacher been honest (as he knew mom had custody) then I believe in my heart that the PO would have said wait for aunt or mom to get here.
