Since I do not have the application form, nor any materials from the potential employing department, or the access to discuss the matter with officials of that department, I cannot give you instructions about completing your application. Also, the reasoning set forth in your additional Comment does not make sense to me. My response was necessarily limited to the very specific point you asked about L C Sec 432.7.
The best general advice for you is: Read the application very very carefully; answer fully, but answer only what is asked; make a good faith inquiry to staff to resolve any ambiguities.

Here i'll post the full questions pertaining to the application.
1. Have you ever been convicted (this would include a plea, verdict, or finding of guilt or nolo contendere/no
contest) of any crime? All convictions must be disclosed except minor traffic offenses with a fine of $300 or less or
misdemeanor citations involving marijuana that are over two years old or other drug offenses for which there was a
diversion and subsequent dismissal of charges under chapters 2.5 (sections 1000) or 2.7 (sections 1001) of the California
Penal Code.
􀂅 Yes 􀂅 No
If yes, explain in detail, including the conviction date and Penal Code, Vehicle Code, Health and Safety Code or other
code provision of conviction:
_________________________________________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. If your answer to question 1 is yes, have you received a certificate of rehabilitation or pardon, or has the accusation
or information against you been dismissed pursuant to Penal Code Section 1203.4?

My responses to questions on Avvo are never intended as legal advice and must not be relied upon as legal advice. I give legal advice only in the course of an attorney-client relationship. Exchange of information through Avvo's Questions forum does not establish an attorney-client relationship with me. That relationship is established only by individual consultation and execution of a written agreement for legal services.

So in other words, I would have to list my charges from my juvenile record since a differed entry does require a ' gulity' plea in order to qualify? Even though I was not convicted I would still have to list it.
