This answer is 80% correct. Statutory damages under the FDCPA have no minimum and are limited to $1,000 per case, not per violation. Additionally, third-parties can only be told that the debt collector is "confirming or correcting location information" for the debtor. Simply saying that the communication regards an "important matter" or a "business matter" would be a violation.
